What personal data do we collect?

Gemini ARC only collect and/or process limited personal data about you, which does not include any special types of information or location based information. This does however include name, address, email, phone number; in addition we also collect and/or process your vehicle details, incident details, insurance details and claim and/or policy number.

Why do we need your personal data?

We need to know your basic personal data in order to communicate with you throughout repairs, and collect and deliver your vehicle is applicable. We will not collect any personal data from you that we do not need in order to provide this service and we do not use your data for mail shots or advertising.

What we do with your data?

All the personal data is processed by our staff in the UK however for the purposes of IT hosting and maintenance this information may be located on servers within the European Union. No 3rd parties have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so, or with your consent. We have a Data Protection policy in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your personal data. More information on this framework can be supplied by the Data Protection Officer on your written request.

Who do we share your data with?

We may provide your contact details to appointed subcontractors such as recovery agents or hire car companies where a written subcontractor agreement is place. In order to facilitate the vehicle repairs, we may need to share your registration and vehicle details only with other agents such as parts suppliers and other subcontractors that is deemed to be necessary and lawful to complete your vehicle repairs.

How long do we keep your data?

Personal data processed for any purpose or purposes shall not be kept for longer than is necessary for that purpose or those purposes. As we guarantee your vehicle repairs and have a legal obligation to retail the accident details, we do not remove your personal details from our data base. However, we would securely destroy any paper records in line with the current taxation reasons/period.

What are your rights?

If at any point you believe the information we process on you is incorrect you can request to see this information and have it corrected or deleted. If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you can contact us to have the matter investigated. If you are not satisfied with our response or believe we are processing your personal data not in accordance with the law you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office https://ico.org.uk/
