Gemini Accident Repairs completes GEMIHIKE 2023!

The climb up Mount Snowdon for the Ben Charity!

On Saturday 14th October, 2023, 27 Gemini employees came together to conquer Mount Snowdon in aid of raising awareness and much-needed donations for the Ben Charity.

This challenge was much harder than anticipated, as the team braved a multitude of adverse weather conditions including sleet, wind, rain, hail, and freezing conditions – it wasn’t one to underestimate! It was a test of endurance and courage, not to be taken lightly. However, to say it was incredible is an understatement. Each participant faced unique challenges, pushing themselves to their limits. The power of teamwork was nothing shy of remarkable, as encouragement spurred everyone towards the finish line.

Notably, we did encounter a few challenges along the way. With freezing weather conditions, some of the team found themselves in difficulty. But in the spirit of camaraderie, our team assisted those in need during the steepest ascents. With words of encouragement and motivation, they helped each other find the inner strength to celebrate at the summit. Some of our team even found themselves embracing the daunting challenge of descending down the Miner’s and Pyg track in a race against nightfall and worsening weather conditions. The steep climbs and rocky pathways tested their endurance as they found themselves on their feet for 10 hours until they finally reached the base, where we awaited to cheer them on and congratulate their enormous efforts.

In stark contrast, some of the team members managed the entire ascent and descent in a remarkable 3.5 hours! We couldn’t be prouder of the whole team who participated, as they collectively achieved something monumental. The team effort and encouragement everyone shared was incredible to witness and awe-inspiring. Well done to all!

Gemini ARC are proud to be partnered with ‘Ben’, and with an initial target of £2500, we are overjoyed to have raised an astonishing £2711 so far for the ‘BEN’ Charity through our journey up Mount Snowdon. This contribution will significantly impact individuals in the automotive industry with a wide range of challenges including mental health, financial concerns or the need for extra support.
