Gemini Accident Repairs Celebrates the Opening of Its 37th New Build Site in the Northeast Region

Gemini Accident Repairs is pleased to announce the opening of its 37th site in Darlington, the latest addition in 2024 following the acquisition of NCR Bodyshops in Swindon recently. The new 10,000-square-foot facility in Darlington marks Gemini's expansion into a new area, situated in a newly built growing industrial area with nearby retail neighbours.

This new site is a state-of-the-art build, featuring optimal heat loss reduction through the Kingspan cladding system. With a large focus on sustainability, the site includes future-proof technology such as a Todd Zeus infra-red electric oven, full LED lighting, destratification heating to reclaim ambient heat, and energy-efficient compressors.

This facility will offer a convenient local vehicle repair centre for Gemini partner insurer customers in Darlington and nearby areas like Stockton and Teesside, handling work from multiple providers, including key partners LV= and esure. Gemini Darlington will house Stanners, LKQ, Indasa, and Axalta equipment and materials, as well as featuring a Todd spray booth.

Brett Wootton, Acquisitions Manager for Gemini Accident Repairs, comments: “Darlington is a fantastic addition to the Gemini family. Its excellent transport infrastructure allows us to serve the Northeast, a new area for our strategy. The new build also enables us to future-proof our green footprint with the latest technology.”

Dave Sargeant, Managing Director of Gemini, adds, “I am thrilled to welcome our 37th site. This expansion greatly strengthens our presence in the North and Northeast of England, marking our entry into a new territory for Gemini. With this move, we can provide even better support to our insurer partners. We are proud to welcome a dedicated team of skilled professionals, including our new Darlington Production Manager, Joshua Rudrum, who shares our commitment to delivering industry leading support and top-quality repairs to our clients and customers.”
